We know that the way we treat our skin now is so important for our health and wellbeing in the future.

We believe in supporting our skin to get the right amount of medicinal benefit from the Sun — shielding some rays, letting others in. At the same time, we support our skin to integrate those rays by staying soft, supple and strong with solid aftercare and a generous dose of hydrating fats. 🌿✨

Welcome to Tallow of the Sun!

A dynamic duo, sibling-run small business operating from the heart of the Byron Shire. 💛

When we discovered tallow, we couldn’t get enough of it — the simplicity, the feeling, the texture and the effect. But nothing we found on the market really did it for us.

So, we decided to create our own.

With Tara’s 7 years of experience in grassroots folk herbalism, a lifelong love for edible skincare, plus her skills in marketing, branding + photography… and Raman’s passion for the surf, long days under the sun, and knack for (well) just about everything — including product creation and website building… we combined forces.

The result? A product the average Ozzie surfer, farmers market goer, country lass and small-town lad could love. (As well as all the rest, of course 😉).
